- Cast Steel Shot

Molten steel water atomized and cooled, heat treated with quenching and tempering; spherical particles, SAE S series grades (S110/S230/S330 etc.); may have tiny internal porosity or shrinkage defects.

- Wire Cut Shot

High carbon steel wire cut into short cylinders, then passivated and rounded (G1/G2/G3 rounding levels); originally with edges, nearly spherical after rounding; CW series grades (CW20/CW28/CW41); no casting porosity defects, material has drawn fibre structure, good toughness.

4. Mixed use mainly cast steel shot, later add wire cut shot for balance of effect and life
